Grandma Jennie’s School Sugar Cookie
(from when she was the School Lunch Coordinator)

1 c butter
1 c shortening
1 c brown sugar
1 c white sugar
1 1/2 t. cream of tartar
1 t. soda
1 t. salt
2 eggs beaten
4 c flour, sifted

Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes, until light golden brown. These cookies stay soft in the center and crispy on the edge.
